I like to wear this button when I'm working with heavy machinery, or power tools and the like. I do a bunch of metalwork to create the armatures necessary to animate with, and last year I learned to weld in order to rebuild a motion-control camera that had been badly damaged in the Northridge quake.

When I recently went to a job interview, I asked a friend who worked there what would be appropriate attire for the interview. She said :
As far as clothing, [compositing] people seem to dress up more so than others,
because we handle the final elements which get output to film and often
have to interact with clients, go to screening, etc. So, I would not
hesitate to dress up a bit. No DYKE buttons either...
I told her that my DYKE buttons were for school and play, but for an interview, I'd wear this one. (Actually, I didn't, I wore one in ASL.)
