Hillary Kapan

Hillary Kapan received his MFA from the University of Oregon in Experimental art, animation, and interactivity. Previously he taught at the University of Maryland and the Cleveland Institute of Art. He has received many honors, most recently: First Prize at the University of Alaska Anchorage National Juried Computer Art Exhibit. Hillary's professional activities include serving as: Artist in Residence at Curtin University, Perth, Australia; Panelist for Candido Mendes Centro Culturale, Brazil; Producer, Art Transition Computer Animation Program, Boston; and Juror, Montgomery Community College Student Art Exhibit. He has authored several grants including an AMAMA grant for Investigation of Visual Complexity Limits Through the Integration of Temporal Imaging Techniques. Selected exhibitions of Hillary's work have shown at SIGGRAPH in past years as well as in different showings in San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro, Montreal, and Linz, Austria. He also has professional affiliation with Inter-Society of Electronic Art, and Ylem: a California based new genre arts organization.
