unbroken pieces

Images from unbroken pieces, my master's thesis project (1996). An absolute animation, unbroken pieces combines amorphous and polygonal visual elements, and works with compositional and temporal rhythms. The theme of the piece is the relationship and ambiguity between unity and disjunction.

(Quicktime Disclaimer - all dashed lines, jaggies, blotchies in the video, and any funny stuff in the audio is the result of compression and small image size necessary to make web-friendly Quicktimes. The piece really looks a lot better in person.)

You should set your monitor for "thousands" or "millions" of colors to view these Quicktimes, or they will look lousy. (They are 24-bit color.)

The music for unbroken pieces was composed by Kent Clelland.
